ABOUT:
Malanga Amarilla is a root vegetable that comes from the tropical plant Colocasia Esculenta. It is an edible corm that has hairy brown skin and a pale flesh, and the taste is woodsy and nutty. One can prepare it in many ways such as baking, frying, and stewing. Malanga Amarilla was first grown in the tropical rainforests of South America. This root vegetable is high in fiber which can improve cholesterol levels and lower the chances of heart disease.
HANDLING:
Malanga Blanca is stored at roughly 45-50°F in a fairly dry environment.
